I spent fifteen years in corporate America — Director, VP, Executive — and in all that time, one thing never changed: email was a full-time job on top of my actual job.
At my peak I was spending three hours a day just processing email. Triaging. Sorting. Archiving. Unsubscribing from lists I never signed up for. I tried everything — filters, folders, Inbox Zero, Gmail plugins, an executive assistant. Nothing solved the fundamental problem: every solution just reorganized the noise rather than eliminating it.
When large language models got good enough to actually understand context — to read an email and know whether it needed a response, what kind, and from whom — I stopped complaining and started building.
I built UberMail for myself first. Within a week I had achieved something I hadn't felt since my first job: I simply didn't think about email anymore. Every person I showed it to said the same thing: “When can I get this?”
